John Champernowne 
John was born about 1282.1 John's father was Sir William Champernowne and his mother was Joan De Ferrers. His paternal grandparents were Sir Henry Champernowne and Dionisia English; his maternal grandparents were William De Ferrers and Matilda of Otterham. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Reginald, Sir Henry, Margaret and Dionisia. He was the youngest of the five children.General Notes
