Alice Marie Bird 
Alice Marie was born on December 6th, 1909 in Teton, Fremont, Idaho, USA.1 Alice Marie's father was Alfred James Bird and her mother was Elizabeth Maud Janes Owen. Her maternal grandparents were Frank Waite Owen and Alice Elizabeth Janes. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Victor Alfred, Elbert Owen, Roxie Ruth, Sybil Fern, Alphea Mae and Velda Maud. She was the oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 85 on October 27th, 1995 in Lapoint, Utah, USA.1 General Notes

This is a small tribute to Alice Bagley. My most vivid recollection
of this remarkable woman was the year we moved from San Francisco,
California to Salt Lake City, Utah. I was five, September was four, and
Belinda was a toddler of two. September and I would stay with Grandma
Bagley during the day while Dad and Mom looked for a job and a place to
stay. Salt Lake City was in the midst of a beautiful Indian Summer. The
leaves had turned and were beginning to fall off the trees. Every day
Grandma would rake the leaves as we played around her feet. One day when
the leaves were in a big pile, Grandma saidto us, "Do you know the
funnest part about fall?" No, we didnt know. "Its jumping in the
leaves," she said. So, we jumped and rolled in the leaves with grandma
jumping and yelling with us. I will never forget the sparkle in her eyes
or the laughter in her voice.
One year I confided in Grandma that I was fascinated with Lorna. I
loved her and her clothes. I secretly yearned to have a poncho just like
my aunts. When Grandma knitted a poncho for meI proudly wore it
everywhere. I am grateful for the opportunity of knowing her.
