Joan Ashton 
Joan was born in 1376 in Ashton, Under Lyne, Lancastershire, England.1 Joan's father was John De Ashton and her mother was Margaret De Legh. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas De Ashton and Eleanor Bumhley; her maternal grandparents were Robert De Legh and Matilda De Worley. She had a brother and two sisters, named John, Katherine and Cecelia. She was the second oldest of the four children. She died at the age of 67 in 1443 in Bramhall, Cheshire, England.1 General Notes
