Aeddan Ap Rhodri

Aeddan was born in 0862.¹ Aeddan's father was Rhodri I Maior Ap Merfyn and his mother was Angharad Verch Meurig. His paternal grandparents were Merfyn Frych Ap Gwriad and Essylt Ferch Conan; his maternal grandfather was Meurig Ap Dyfnwallon. He had eight brothers and two sisters, named Anarawd, Merfyn, Cadell, Tudwal Gloff, Meurig, Rhodri 'Fychan', Gwriad, Gwyddelig, Nesta Verch and Angharad Verch. He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children.
