John Henry Anthes

John Henry was born on January 22nd, 1846.¹   John Henry's father was Jacob Wilhelm Anthes and his mother was Elizabetha Josepha Trietsch.  His paternal grandparents were Christian Wilhelm Anthes and Anna Maria Schmidt; his maternal grandparents were Matthaeus Trietsch and Hanna Volk. He had a brother and three sisters, named William Christian, Helene, Elizabeth and Anna Katharina.  He was the second oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 87 on November 17th, 1933.  He was buried in Sutton, Nebraska, USA.^1 1
