Hiske Abben

Hiske was born on May 10th, 1787 in Mark, Ostfriesland, Germany.¹ Hiske's father was Abbe Ontjes Van Mark and her mother was Hilke Harms. Her paternal grandparents were Ontje Reempts and Hisse Folderyks. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Harm, Ontje Abben, Harm, Antje and Harmine Abben. She was the second youngest of the six children.
