Phillippa was born about 1475 in Portledge, Devonshire, England.  Phillippa's father was Philip Hingston.  She was an only child.  Phillippa is no longer alive.

‌Phillippa and John were married in a religious ceremony about 1503.  They had three sons and two daughters, named James, Richard, Thomas, Alice Margaret and Jaquet Ann.
