Joseph was born about 1665 in Baltimore Co,Maryland. Joseph's father was John Hawkins and his mother was Mary Dewes. His paternal grandparents were John Hawkins and Hester Richards. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Matthew, Augustine, Thomas, Anne and Elizabeth. He died on January 13th, 1725 in Baltimore Co,Maryland.
They had two sons and four daughters, named John, Augustine Austin, Ruth, Sarah, Jemima and Elizabeth.
