John Allred 
John was born about 1833 in Overton Co,Tenn. John's father was Samuel Thompson Allred and his mother was Anna Bunch. His maternal grandparents were Nathaniel F. Bunch and Sarah Wade Ray. He had six brothers and twelve sisters, named Nathaniel, John, Isaiah, Calvin, Reuben Kirby, Nelson, Frances, Obedience, Sarah, Phoebe, Nancy, Anna, Mary Emily, Orlena, Adeline, Susan, Eliza Jane and Cynthia. He was the fourth oldest of the nineteen children. He died about 1863 in Pilot Knob,MO.General Notes
John served the Confederacy and was killed at PILOT KNOB, MO. by a Union soldier and was buried in the same grave as his uncle - Larkin Bunch. His mother raised his infant son as his wife had died prior to his death.
John and Mary were married in a religious ceremony about 1854 in Carroll Co,Ark. They had a son named Joseph Larkin.
