James was born on October 9th, 1846 in St. Helens,Lancashire,England. James' father was *Henry Edward Webster and his mother was *Elizabeth Ann Rigby. His paternal grandparents were *John Webster and Lydia; his maternal grandparents were *John Rigby and *Elizabeth Rachel (Ann) Bevans. He had five brothers and eight sisters, named John Rigby, Henry Howard, Thomas Grover, Joseph, William, Lydia, Mary, Rachel, Betsey, Mary Ann, Margaret, Hannah and *Sarah. He was the youngest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 84 on May 11th, 1931 in San Bernardino,San Bernardino,CA.-
