The Vinson family mill and family home in Washington Co., AR was burned sometime before 1870. After the fires they moved to Douglas Co., MO.
Daniel and Ann lived in Tazewell Co., IL in 1831, in 1844 they moved to Arkansas (Ann died, married Sarah, Sarah died, married Serena), When the Civil war started Daniel and Serena moved to Douglas Co. MO, this was about 1865. He moved to Missouri because he had sons and sons-in-law fighting on both sides.
Arkansas Tax Lists, 1830-1839, Daniel Vinson, Madison Co., Arkansas. 1840 census show he lived in Madison Co. AR. 1850 census show he lived in Washington Co., Clear Creek Twn, AR. His property in MO was just east of Ava. Turkey Creek cemetery sign is located on the property. Vinson, Mathew and Hodge families built the church on this property in 1923.
