Her paternal grandparents were Robert Tyler and Joanna (Raven) Reade; her maternal grandparents were Mareen T. Duvall and Susannah Brashears. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Robert, Edward, Mareen, Susannah, Priscilla, Jane and Mary.-

Robert was born on September 23rd, 1729. He died at the age of 51 on November 11th, 1780 in Berkely County,Virginia,now West Virginia.
