William Toothman

William was born in 1835 in Decatur,Sand Creek,IN.  William's father was *David Toothman and his mother was *Dolly \Dorothy Evans.  His paternal grandparents were *John Toothman and *Elizabeth; his maternal grandparents were *Jacob Evans and *Elizabeth. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, Ratliff, Newton, Jasper, *Russell, John, Catherine and Ana A..  He was the oldest of the nine children.

‌William and Elva were married in a religious ceremony on January 10th, 1854 in Fulton Co.,IN.
