William Terry

William was born on November 7th, 1785 in Hawkins County,Tennessee. William's father was John Terry and his mother was Esther Brown. His paternal grandparents were William Terry and Rachel Manson; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Brown and Mary Terry. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John, Elisha, Elias, Thomas, Sally, Esther, Rachel and Elizabeth. He had twelve half-brothers and a half-sister, named Josiah, William, George F., Haden, John, Elijah, Elisha, J. Elias, Miles, Thomas, Daniel, Jasper and Esther (Easter). He died at the age of 83 on May 15th, 1869.

‌William and Betsy were married in a religious ceremony on January 29th, 1812 in Tennessee.
