Her paternal grandparents were Winfield Scott Sloan and Mary Ann Bennett. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Nuvart, Living, Opal Viola, Lodena, Marguerite and Living. She died at the age of 84 on August 22nd, 1995 in Clarksville,Clark County,Indiana. She was buried on August 25th, 1995 in Jeffersonville,Clark County,Indiana Walnut Ridge Cemetery.-
