John Shepherd 
John was born in 1760 in Spotsylvania County,Virginia. John's father was John James Shepherd Sr. and his mother was Sarah J.-------. His paternal grandparents were George Shepherd and Elizabeth Mary Angelique Day. He had four brothers and six sisters, named James, Stephen, Lewis, Andrew, Ann (Susannah), Susannah, Lucy, Nancy, Sarah and Philadelphia "Delphia". He had two half-brothers named Nicholas and David. He died at the age of 52 on May 7th, 1812 in Reddies River,Wilkes County,NC. He was buried in Deep Hill Ford Cemetary,Wilkes Co. NC.-
