Lydia was born about 1786 in Granville Co.,NC. Lydia's father was John Henry Pruett and her mother was Elizabeth Bradford. Her paternal grandparents were Daniel Pruett and Mrs. Sarah Pruett; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Bradford and Mary Holmes. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Joseph, John Bradford, Thomas J., Henry, Mary, Sarah, Elizabeth and Selah.-
