Andrew Jackson was born on January 18th, 1855. Andrew Jackson's father was George Powers and his mother was Sarah Ann Scales. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Powers and Levina LeMasters; his maternal grandfather was John Scales. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Thomas Jefferson, Louis Martin, Melvin Adophus (Dolph), Ernest Adrain, Malena Caroline and Laura Alice. He was the oldest of the seven children.-
