Isabel was born in 1368 in Bolingbroke,Lincolnshire,England. Isabel's father was John "Of Gaunt", Duke of Lancaster and her mother was Blanche Plantagenet, Duchess of Lancaste. Her paternal grandparents were King of England King of En Edward III and Philippa of Hainaut Queen of England Queen of E. She had three brothers and two sisters, named John Plantagenet, Prince of, Edward, Henry IV, King of, Philippa Plantagenet, Queen of and Elizabeth. She was the youngest of the six children.
