Sarah Helen was born on December 3rd, 1911 in Pomaria,S. C..¹ Sarah Helen's father was James Thaddeus Holloway Kinard and her mother was Margaret "Maggie" Lavinia Katherine Glymph. Her maternal grandparents were Walker Milton Henry (Twin) Glymph and Sarah Elizabeth Koon. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Ernest Oren, James Alvin, Thomas Guy "Jack", Vera Ernestine, Rubye Elizabeth and Edith Rebecca. She died at the age of 9 on April 10th, 1921 in Pomaria,S. C..¹
