Ellen Kilby 
Ellen was born on March 6th, 1845 in Reddies River,Wilkes County,North Carolina. Ellen's father was Abraham Kilby and her mother was Naomi Serena Dancy. Her paternal grandparents were Abraham Kilby and Mary Elizabeth (Betsey) Rash; her maternal grandparents were John Dancy and Rachel Johnson. She had a brother and six sisters, named John Sidney, Elizabeth, Permelia, Ann, Tennessee, Alva and America. She was the third oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 81 on May 3rd, 1926.-
