John Kercheval 
John was born in 1791. John's father was James Kercheval and his mother was Mary Pottenger. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Kercheval and Elizabeth Fulton; his maternal grandparents were Robert Pottenger and Elizabeth Willett. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Benjamin, Rueban, Samuel P., Lewis, Sarah, Elizabeth and Nancy. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 57 in 1848.-
