Henry Potenger 
Henry was born in 1629 in Rookhayst,Berkshire,England. Henry's father was Richard II Pottenger and his mother was Mary Browne. His paternal grandparents were Richard I Pottenger and Margaret Butts. He had five brothers and six sisters, named John, James, Danial, Walter, Richard III, Mary, Ester, Ann, Elizabeth, Sarah and Catharine. He was the second oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 70 in 1699.General Notes
He came into possession of a fairly large landed estate by his marriage. He owned "Mideltrop" (Middle Thorpe) where he resided and reared his family. He also received some money from his fathers estate. He was bequeathed property by the wills of his brothers Walter, John and James and Walter and James made him executor of their wills. All his 3 children were born at Middle Thorpe.
Henry and Sarah were married in a religious ceremony in 1653 in Berkshire,England. They had two sons and a daughter, named Richard, John and Sarah.

Sarah was born in 1654 in Middle Thorpe,Berkshire,England. She died in Sittingbourne,Kent,England.
John Pottenger
John was born in 1662 in Middle Thorpe,Burfield,Berkshire,England. He died at the age of 73 on April 7th, 1735 in Prince George County,Maryland.
