Isam's father was Thomas Hunt and his mother was Ann Mary Beals. His paternal grandparents were William Hunt and Mary Woolman; his maternal grandparents were John II Beals and Sarah C. Bowater. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, William, Jacob, Jemima, Mary, Ruth, Sarah and Ann. He died before 1834.-
