William Gray

William was born on October 5th, 1805 in North Carolina.  William's father was Joseph Gray and his mother was Amelia (Millie).  His paternal grandfather was poss John Blair Gray. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named Isaac, Benjamin F or I, Barnibus B. (Barney), Joseph, Martin, Charles, Griffin, David, Anna, Lydia and Margaret.  He was the second oldest of the twelve children.  He died at the age of 38 in August 1844.  He was buried in Jackson Cemetery,Adams Twp.,Madison County,Indiana.

‌William and Miriam were married in a religious ceremony in New Columbus,Indiana.  They had two sons named H. Samuel and James.
