Joan De was born about 1232 in Of,,Derbyshire,England. Joan De's father was William III FERRERS [Earl of Derby] [Earl of D and her mother was Sibyl MARSHALL. Her paternal grandparents were William De FERRERS and Agnes De MESCHINES; her maternal grandparents were William MARSHALL and Isabel Fitzgilbert De CLARE. She had a brother and six sisters, named John De, Agnes De, Isabella De, Maud (Matilda) De, Sibyl De, Agatha De and Eleanor De. She was the fourth youngest of the eight children. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Robert, William IV, Joan and Agnes. She died in October 1267.
