Ermentrude of Luxembourg was born about 0990.1 Ermentrude of Luxembourg's father was Friedrich I, Count of Luxembourg and her mother was Ermentrude of Gleiberg. Her paternal grandparents were Siegfried, Count of Luxembourgh and Hedwig von Nordgau. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Giselbert I, Count of Luxembourg, Frederick II, Duke of Lower Lorraine, Otgiva de Luxembourg, Jutta of Luxembourg and Gisele. She was the oldest of the six children. She died on August 21st, 1057 in Altemunster.1 General Notes
