Joseph DOWNING 
Joseph was born in 1583 in St. Nicholas,Ipswich,Suffolk,England and his baptism took place there about 1583. Joseph's father was George DOWNING and his mother was Miss BELLAMY. His paternal grandparents were George DOWNING and Mrs Cicely DOWNING; his maternal grandparents were Mr. BELLAMY and Mrs. BELLAMY. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Emanuel, Nathaniel, Benjamin, Joshua, Elnathan, Abigail, Nahomie, Susanna, Naomie and Anne. He died at the age of 73 in August 1656 in Salem,Essex,Massachusetts.General Notes
