Julia was born about 1792. Julia's father was Micajah Mayo and her mother was Bethia Sherrod. Her paternal grandparents were Nathan Mayo and Julia Williams; her maternal grandparents were John Sherrod and Elizabeth "Mary" Watson. She was an only child.
