John Hargrove 
John was born in 1720 in Surrry Co. Va. John's father was Bray Hargrove and his mother was Mary Hodge(s) Hunnicutt. His paternal grandparents were Richard Hargrave and Pembroke Pead; his maternal grandparents were James (John) Hodge and Margaret Phillips. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Benjamin, Samuel, Lemuel, Augustine Hunnicutt, Elizabeth, Margaret and Mary. He was the second youngest of the eight children.-
