Edward Agustus Cherry 
Edward Agustus was born on June 12th, 1851 in Edgecombe Co. NC. Edward Agustus' father was Marcus Cicero Stephen Cherry and his mother was Arcenia Virginia "Cena" Best. His paternal grandparents were Roderick Cherry and Jennie Unknown. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Alfonso, Theron Thadeus, James Columbus, Marcus Cicero, William Rodney, Sally Louisa, Arcena Viginia and Ida Irene. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 55 on June 14th, 1906 in CHerry Cemetery, Hwy 11 north from Bethel 1/2 mile, Turn left on Cherry Lane.General Notes
