Caroline Virginia Barnhill 
Caroline Virginia was born on February 9th, 1847 in Edgecombe Co. NC. Caroline Virginia's father was Lemuel E Barnhill and her mother was Caroline Arcenie Cooper. She had three brothers and a sister, named John R., Jesse E., Martin Van Buren and Ann L.. She was the youngest of the five children. She died at the age of 72 on March 14th, 1919 in Rocky Mount, Nash County, NC. She was buried in Pineview Cemetery, Rocky Mount, Edgecombe County, North Carolina.General Notes

e century. The woman appears to be in her 20s. According t
o the source of the photo, a Mrs. Skinner in Nash County, C
aroline was born in Enfield and married John Robert Ward i
n 1911. This photo is too young to be this woman, but is pe
rhaps a relative since she has the same name.
Information about her marriages and children all came fro
m Bible Records of Edgecombe County p. 108 from the bible o
f William K Harper owned by Mr. J. A. Harper of Rocky Mount
‌Caroline Virginia and William Kindred were married in a religious ceremony on April 2nd, 1873.
