Enguerrand II was born about 1020 in Normandy,France. Enguerrand II's father was Hugh II de Ponthieu and his mother was Bertha D'Aumale. His paternal grandparents were Enguerrand I dePonthieu and Aleida of Holland; his maternal grandparents were Guerinfroi Eudes deAumale and Hermengarde D'Auvergne. He had a brother and a sister, named Guy I Comte and Beatrix. He was the second oldest of the three children. He died in 1053.
They had a son named Peter Seigneur.
