Her paternal grandparents were Enguerrand I dePonthieu and Aleida of Holland; her maternal grandparents were Guerinfroi Eudes deAumale and Hermengarde D'Auvergne. She had two brothers named Guy I Comte and Enguerrand II. She was the youngest of the three children.
