Sybil was born in 1150 in Bramber, Sussex, England. Sybil's father was William de Braose Sheriff of Herefordshire and her mother was Bertha de Pitres of Gloucester. Her paternal grandparents were Philip de Braose and Aenor de Totnais; her maternal grandparents were Miles de Pitres Earl of Hereford 3rd and Sybil de Neufmarche. She had a brother and two sisters, named William, Matilda and Bertha. She was the second oldest of the four children. She died in England.General Notes
