Nichola was born about 1210 in Arundel, Sussex, England.  Nichola's father was William D'Aubigny and her mother was Countess  Maud de Meschines.  Her paternal grandparents were Earl William (le Breton) D'Aubigny and Maud de St Hilary; her maternal grandparents were Hugh Keveliok de Meschines Earl of Chester and Bertred of Evereaux. She had two brothers and four sisters, named William, Hugh, Isabella, Maud, Cecily and Colette. She had a half-brother and five half-sisters, named John le Scot, Margaret of, Isabella le Scot of, Ada of, Majory of and ?.  She died about 1240 in Dudley Castle, Staffordshire, England.

‌Nichola and Roger Dudley were married in a religious ceremony in 1225 in Sussex, England.  They had four daughters named Maud, Margaret, Joan and Mabel.
