*Ralph de Mortimer 
*Ralph was born in 1190 in Wigmore, Hereford ENG. *Ralph's father was *Roger de Mortimer and his mother was *Isabel de Ferrers. He was an only child. He died at the age of 56 on August 6th, 1246 in Wigmore, Hereford ENG.General Notes
He owned lands in the Counties of Gloucester, Southampton, Berkshire, Salop and Hereford. Of a martial disposition, he erected several strong castles by which he was able to extend his possessions against the Welsh. Realizing he could not cope with him, Prince Llewelyn gave him his daughter in marriage.

*Ralph and *Gwladys were married in a religious ceremony in 1230. They had four sons named *Roger, Hugh, John and Peter.
