William De Vere

William was born in 1072. William's father was Count * Alberic De Vere and his mother was Countess * Beatrix de Gand. His paternal grandparents were Count Of Ghesnes * Alphonso de Vere and * Katherine Of Flanders; his maternal grandparents were Castellan * Henry de Gand and * Sibilla Manasses. He had four brothers and a sister, named *Aubrey, Geoffrey, Roger, Robert and Alice. He was the youngest of the six children.
