Boris' father was Prince * Vladimir 'The Great' Of Kiev and his mother was Princess * Rogneda Of Polotsk.  His paternal grandfather was Prince * Sviatoslav I Of Kiev. He had four brothers named * Yaroslav I 'The Wise', Mstislav, Sviatopolk I and Gleb.
