Jean I de was born about 1135 in Montreuil,Pas-DE-Calais,France.  Jean I de's father was Guy II de Ponthieu and his mother was Ida de St. Pol.  His paternal grandparents were William Talvas C. De Ponthieu and Alice Helene de Bourgogne; his maternal grandfather was Hugues III "Candavere" St. Pol.  He was an only child.  He died in 1191 in Acre,Palestine.1

‌Jean I de and Beatrice De were married in a religious ceremony before 1179 in 1st Husband 3Rd Wife.2   They had a son and a daughter, named William (Guillaume) III Count Of and Adele de.
