Count Richard II of was born in 1155.  Count Richard II of's father was Count Amedeus of Montfaucon and his mother was Princess Agnes of Neuenburg.  His paternal grandfather was Count Richard I of Montfaucon; his maternal grandfather was Count Mangold of Neuenburg.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 77 in 1232.
