Berta Giffard

Berta was born about 1140.¹ Berta's father was Elias II Giffard and her mother was Berta FitzPons de Clifford. Her paternal grandparents were Elias I Giffard and Ala; her maternal grandparents were Richard , Lord of Cantref Bychan FitzPons and Maud de Pitres of Gloucester. She had five brothers named Walter, Gilbert, Richard, Elias (Helias) Giffard III and William. She had a half-sister named Matilda.
