Maud (Mathilde) of was born about 1145 in Clermont,Beauvais,Oise,Picardy, France.1   Maud (Mathilde) of's father was Renaud II Ct de De Clermont and her mother was Clemence Of Bar-le-Duc.  Her paternal grandparents were Hugh I De Creil Clermont [Count Cleremont] and Margaret de Roucy; her maternal grandparents were Renaud I Count of Bar-le-Duc and Gisele de Vaudemont. She had a brother named Simon I de , Count d'Ailly. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Hughes III Candavene, Marguerite and Mathilda von.  She died in October 1200 in London,Middlesex,England.1
