Count Volmar II of was born in 1161. Count Volmar II of's father was Volmar I Von Blieskastel and his mother was Princess Clementia of Metz. His paternal grandfather was Gottfried I Von Blieskastel; his maternal grandparents were Count Volmar V of Metz-Homburg and Princess Mathilde of Dagsburg. He had three brothers named Bishop Heinrich of, Count Hugo I of and Volmar II Von. He died at the age of 62 in 1223.-
