Enguerrand I's father was Dreux Lord of BOVES and his mother was Adele Lady of COUCY.  His paternal grandfather was Hugues Lord of BOVES; his maternal grandfather was Aubie Lord of COUCY. He had a brother named Enguerrand I.  He died in 1116.
