Egino's father was FRIEDRICH I COUNT von ZOLLERN and his mother was UDAHILD COUNTESS d'URACH. His paternal grandfather was BURKHARD I COUNT von ZOLLERN; his maternal grandparents were EGON II COUNT d'URACH and GUNIGUNDE d'URACH. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Adalbert, Gottfried, Ulrich, BURKHARD II COUNT, Frederick II, HEMMA and Luitgard.
