Eleanor was born on May 4th, 1306 in Winchester, Hampshire, England.1 Eleanor's father was EDWARD I "Longshanks" KING de ENGLAND and her mother was MARGUERITE de FRANCE. Her paternal grandparents were HENRY III KING de ENGLAND and ELEANOR de PROVENCE; her maternal grandparents were PHILIP III "The Bold" KING de FRANCE and MARIE (Mary) de BRABANT. She had two brothers named THOMAS (Earl) and EDMUND EARL de KENT. She had four half-brothers and ten half-sisters, named JOHN 1st LORD, Henry, Alfonso, EDWARD II KING, ELEANOR, Julian, JOAN PLANTAGENET, Margaret, Berengaria, ELIZABETH, Beatrice, Blanche, Mary and Alice. She died at the age of 5 in 1311 in Amesbury.1 -
