"Rosannah Elizabeth Waits
b. August 7, 1839 in South Carolina married William H. Wilson, widower of
Tizann, on March 24, 1860. (Marriage records read "Rosa").
Levi Waits gave his daughter, Rosannah, eighty acres, about a quarter
mile south of the home place. After the death of Tizaan Waits Wilson,
William H. Wilson married Rosannah, and they occupied the property given
originally to Tizaan north of the home place which he had previously
given Rosannah and paid $428.00. Later Levi sold this eighty acres to
George P. Waits for $450.00.
The last part of the nineteenth century, William H. and Rosannah Wilson
migrated to the the West, probably Louisiana. After Buddy Wilson left
for the West, the rumor spread that during the Civil War he has buried
gold on his property, and for many years people tried to find it. We
never heard of anyone being successful."
