James VAN HOUTEN 
James was born on October 25th, 1789.1 James' father was John Peter VAN HOUTEN and his mother was Annatje (Anna) ROOME. His paternal grandparents were Pieter Van HOUTON and Rachel (Lyons) LEIN. He had a brother and three sisters, named John Kidney, Sarah "Sally", Mary and Rachel. He was the third oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 69 in August 1859.1 -
