Alfred James Spradley

Alfred James was born on November 6th, 1900 in Boonetown Community, Camden, Kershaw Co., SC.¹ Alfred James' father was Thomas James Spradley and his mother was Bessie Bulah Barnes. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Albert Spradley and Marguerite Elizabeth Smith. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Lawrence Wilson, James Thomas, Anna Matilda, Carrie Ella, Ruth Almead, Lillie Victoria and Bulah Bessie. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 79 on January 12th, 1980 in Lexington, Lexington Co., SC. He was buried in Hillcrest Baptist Church Cemetery, Elgin, Kershaw Co., SC.¹¹
